What is the easiest way to take a look at some city being a tourist?
You can hang around some sightseeings having a walk. You can rent a car (in Paris I will not advise you to do that). You can rent a bike as well. But it seems to me that the easiest and the most convenient way to discover a new city is a red double decker.
Taking into consideration the fact that less than in a month (from the day these pics are taken) Paris hosts Olympic Games, the centre of the city is obviously a big traffic jam.
Started from the Eiffel Tower with heading to the Louvre, the ride took about 1 hour. Maybe even more. Because of the jams and closed roads before the Olympics.
Nevertheless, I share some pics of the centre of Paris during that long-time ride.
Arc de triomphe site and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées on the right
This luxury store has just celebrated 150th anniversary. Printemps.
Some work
Opera site
Another jam. Just ignore the traffic light. What they are for?
Here we go. Louvre.
Mona Lisa is somewhere below that guy. Under the ground level. Haven't seen her for 26 years. Not today. Meet you some day
It's high time to move to CDG - Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. It is easy to find Metro stations in Paris? Nope ;-)
This is the closest to the Louvre station that you can easily come around
By the way, see you in Disneyland. Longread about the Parks are yet to come!
